What awaits you

 

BMW is developing an innovative solution to enable intuitive, natural-language search capabilities within its data landscape, titled “Chat Your Data.” This project will leverage large language models (LLMs) to empower users with seamless, conversational data retrieval. To achieve this, BMW is assembling a skilled team to design and implement an end-to-end solution, starting from data provisioning for LLM training and enablement to the development of an accessible and user-friendly interface. This project will rely on existing AWS Data and AI services for backend infrastructure, while the user interface will be deployed on a BMW Kubernetes-based solution to ensure scalability and security.

We are seeking skilled Python Engineers with expertise in large language models (LLMs) to join our team in developing an agent-based (multi-agent) architecture for our cutting-edge "Chat Your Data" solution. This role is central to enabling BMW’s advanced natural language data search capabilities.

  • Collaborate closely with Data Engineers to design and implement optimized data models for LLM inputs
  • Deploy and operate LLM-based solutions using cloud AI services, enhancing custom services as needed to meet project goals
  • Develop strategies and models for LLM training, operation, and regular updates to ensure relevance with frequently changing data

 

What should you bring along

 

  • University Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
  • At least 3-5 years of experience as a Developer (Python or other similar technologies) is required
  • 1-2 years of experience with LLMs
  • Proven experience with LLMs in AI projects using cloud-based services
  • Proficiency in Python and related libraries for AI/ML
  • Strong commitment to quality in modeling, code development, and operational reliability
  • Expertise in LLM methodologies and a solid understanding of agentic (multi-agent) architecture
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and a proactive approach to managing LLM-related components
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
  • German language skills are a plus but not required
