What awaits you

 

  • As a Platform Engineer specializing in Kubernetes, you will play a critical role in building, maintaining, and scaling our platform infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing containerized environments, ensuring high availability, automating workflows, and optimizing Kubernetes clusters. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and infrastructure automation.
  • Kubernetes Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Monitor cluster performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workloads within the Kubernetes environment
  • Manage Kubernetes networking, service discovery, and persistent storage
  • Container Orchestration & Management: Implement and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and deploy microservices architecture using Kubernetes
  • Automate the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications
  • Automation & CI/CD: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the automation of application deployments
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform, Helm, or Ansible to automate provisioning and management of Kubernetes resources
  • Ensure rapid and reliable delivery of features with automated testing, monitoring, and deployment
  • Cloud Platform Management: Work with cloud service providers ( Azure) to provision and manage cloud resources
  • Optimize cloud costs and usage, ensuring efficient resource management across Kubernetes environments
  • Integrate cloud-native solutions to enhance Kubernetes-based platforms (e.g., managed Kubernetes services, security, monitoring).
  • Security & Compliance: Implement Kubernetes best practices to ensure security, including role-based access control (RBAC), network policies, and secret management
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations regarding data privacy and security
  • Collaboration & Support: Work closely with DevOps, Software Engineering, and Security teams to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflows
  • Provide support for incident management and troubleshooting for Kubernetes environments
  • Mentor and train team members on Kubernetes best practices and platform engineering concepts
  • Monitoring & Logging: Implement monitoring and logging solutions for Kubernetes clusters using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/EFK stacks
  • Monitor the health and performance of the platform, ensuring system reliability and availability

 

What shoud you bring along

 

  • University Degree or Advanced Diploma in a Software Engineering related discipline, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • At least 5+ years’ experience as a DevOps Engineer with Azure and Kubernetes
  • Excellent English verbal and written skills
  • German communication skills will be a plus
