What awaits you

 

  • Rolling out and managing applications: Overseeing the deployment and management of new Shopfloor Core Solutions based on cloud technologies from a third-party vendor for the upcoming years.
  • Overseeing planning and coordination: Managing the planning, scheduling, and coordination of vendor software releases.
  • Ensuring successful delivery: Ensuring the successful rollout of new software versions, patches, and updates to production environments.
  • Engaging in cross-functional collaboration: Collaborating with developers, testers, product managers, and operations to ensure smooth release cycles.
  • Handling dynamic work environments: Managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, each with its unique challenges and timelines.
  • Solving problems: Troubleshooting, resolving issues, addressing bottlenecks, and developing contingency plans to mitigate risks.
  • Taking ownership and autonomy: Owning the release process end-to-end, making decisions, and driving improvements across the organization.
  • Utilizing cutting-edge tools: Gaining hands-on experience with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and project management software to optimize release processes.
  • Contributing to business goals: Ensuring timely, successful releases that contribute directly to customer satisfaction, product growth, and overall business success.
  • Focusing on continuous learning and growth: Staying updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in release management and DevOps, ensuring ongoing professional development.

 

What should you bring along

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar position
  • Project or Product management experience and proven knowledge on release management
  • Ideally, Release management knowledge with involvement of Vendors management
  • Ideally, first experience in the cloud environment
  • Practical experience operating production-critical systems
  • Experience with agile software development tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence)
  • Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving, negotiation, prioritization and decision-making skills
  • Excellent English verbal and written skills, German would be nice to have
