Salesforce Deployment Engineer

What awaits you 

• Managing and improving the end-to-end Salesforce deployment pipeline utilizing GIT for version control and Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous delivery across multiple Salesforce organizations 
• Coordinate and manage deployments across development, testing, and production environments using automated tools 
• Work closely with the development team to facilitate continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes, ensuring smooth releases and minimizing disruptions to production 
• Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve issues related to deployment processes, environment stability, and adherence to best practices 
• Collaborate with Salesforce development teams to understand, review, and effectively deploy code and configuration changes across various environments 
• Improve and rigorously enforce Salesforce coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines to ensure high-quality and maintainable code 
• Strategically manage and maintain the Salesforce staging environments, ensuring they are production-like and available for thorough testing and validation of deployments 
• Provide expert oversight of the Salesforce Environment Hub, efficiently connecting and managing a portfolio of Salesforce organizations, and leveraging monitoring tools to proactively ensure system health, performance, and stability 
• Oversee the management of Salesforce environments using Salesforce Environment Hub, including sandbox creation, refreshes, and data migration between environments 
• Perform regular audits of system settings, profiles, and data to ensure compliance with security policies and governance frameworks 
• Stay up to date with Salesforce updates, new features, and best practices 
• Monitor system performance, usage, and capacity, ensuring optimal performance and scalability 
• Identify and resolve system issues and bottlenecks, ensuring minimal downtime and high availability for end users 
• Implement and manage data security policies, ensuring that sensitive information is protected and accessible only to authorized users 
• Maintain data integrity by performing regular data audits, implementing validation rules, and resolving data discrepancies 

What should you bring along  

• University Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or a related field 
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator, Developer, or System Architect in a DevOps-focused Salesforce role, with a strong emphasis on managing releases, deployment pipelines and enforcing governance 
• Experience with release management, change control processes, and Salesforce metadata management using tools like SFDX 
• Solid understanding and practical experience with Salesforce CLI (SFDX) for scripting, automation, and metadata management 
• Deep and practical expertise for building and managing automated CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins, as well as scripting languages relevant to CI/CD automation (eg. Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript/Node.js, Python) 
• Comprehensive understanding of Salesforce coding best practices, security principles, performance optimization techniques, and governor limits 
• Proven ability to understand and effectively integrate code and configuration changes made by Salesforce developers into various environments 
• Knowledge of using the Salesforce Environment Hub to efficiently manage and access multiple Salesforce organizations 
• Significant experience in managing multiple Salesforce environments, including the strategic use of staging environments and the deployment of changes across them 
• Knowledge of system performance monitoring, optimization strategies, and best practices for a scalable Salesforce environment 
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce monitoring tools (e.g. Salesforce Health Check) for proactive system monitoring, performance analysis, and issue identification 
• Understanding of identification, authentication, authorization, user role and permission management, as well as Salesforce security, data integrity, and platform security (including certificate management) 
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including development, QA, and business stakeholders 
• Salesforce Certified Development Lifecycle and Deployment Designer Certification, Salesforce Administrator Advanced Certification, Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification or equivalent certifications are mandatory 
• Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and ITIL best practices is a plus 
• Familiarity with Salesforce integration patterns and concepts, integrations systems like MuleSoft or Informatica ETL is a plus 
• Excellent English verbal and written skills
