Project Overview

We are looking for a Data Engineers to join NTT DATA Romania for developing ETL loads for our German client.

What you can expect & what we want you to do

•   Work on data exploration (data understanding)
•   Set up and work on the entire data pipeline: starting from getting data from the source systems all the way to the visualizations in a BI dashboard (including data preprocessing)
•   Be responsible for defining and implementing a data model, with which all requirements in the BI Dashboard can be fulfilled
•   Work on ad-hoc requests to provide meaningful data insights
•   Evaluate data quality regarding missing data, outliers, frequencies, availability etc.
•   Work hand in hand with other teams to give and get feedback to ensure good data quality
•   Work closely together with Business Analysts and UX Designers to review and ensure the feasibility of charts and KPIs with given data
•   Share your data and analytics knowledge and proactively identify areas in which analytics can add significant business value

What you are good at & what you’ll need to win

•   Solid experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy, etc.), PySpark, Spark
•   Experience with databases and SQL (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL and similar)
•   Experience with data visualization tools e.g. PowerBI, SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau or similar
•   Linux (Basics) skills are a plus
•   Experience with data and KPIs, generating insights from data
•   Experience in Data Engineering: ETL Tasks
•   Experience with Job Scheduling, e.g., Airflow
•   Experience with Big Data Tools is a plus: Hadoop, Kafka
•   Successfully completed studies in computer science, informatics, mathematics, or similar University profiles
•   Advanced English skills are necessary
•   Good communication skills, customer excellence focus, and organizational skills
•   Team-oriented and solution-driven approach
•   High level of self-motivation and a structured, independent, and result-oriented way of working
