Technical Consultant (Windows & SQL) Job

Who we are
We are looking for a new technical support team member for the operation and maintenance of automotive applications. Our client ZF is a global leader in driveline and chassis technology, as well as active and passive safety technology.
The company has a global workforce of around 137,000 with approximately 230 locations in some 40 countries. ZF annually invests about six percent of its sales in research & development, ensuring continued success through the design and engineering of innovative technologies. ZF is one of the largest automotive suppliers worldwide.
This system is currently used in many ZF manufacturing locations globally.
What you'll be doing
- Business investigation of the incidents, initial diagnosis of error analysis and correction of incidents in accordance with customer SLA
- Take ownership of issue investigation and resolution, coordinate and monitor issue resolution
- Monitoring of the functional component of the system (ensure data flow between systems through the different interfaces)
- Perform customer change request
- Identification of missing prerequisites for using the application or defective application functions (problem management)
- Ensure customer and support center documentation are maintained
- Functional support to the partners
- Verify that all documentation regarding the incident is complete; update relevant solution types to known errors in solution database / knowledge database etc
- Release Management: implementation/installation of application versions in new locations, new production lines
What you'll bring along
- Bachelor’s degree in technical/non-technical fields would be nice to have
- At least 2 years of experience within application management and technical support field
- Experience with Windows and Databases would be nice to have (MySQL, MS SQL)
- Experience with operation and deployment of complex IT infrastructure, including application servers, web servers, monitoring, configuration management and root cause analysis
- Basic experience with Linux Server
- Basic ITIL Knowledge / ITIL certification represents a plus
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English, German would be a plus
