System Engineer Job

In our Embedded Technologies department, we are focusing on client projects in the Automotive sector. The top-class services we provide consist mostly of software development and testing solutions for products such as Instrument Clusters and Head-up Displays, Control Units, Active and Passive Safety Systems (with a particular focus on Advanced Radar Systems) or even Low Level Drivers.

What you'll be doing

Develop system level requirements from the customer needs
Decompose system level requirements in sub-system level requirements ensuring bi-directional traceability
Develop system documentation including but not limited to system design and interface control documentation
Customer interfacing for technical aspects of a project
Work together with functional safety manager on safety related topics
Decompose the system requirements into components, interfaces, dynamic behaviors, and resource consumption targets
Develop UML and SysML diagrams
Work with software and hardware teams to ensure full coverage of all customer requirements

What you'll bring along

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience working on automotive electronic control units
Strong organizational skills able to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged throughout project life cycle
Software development experience and software development lifecycle know-how
Ability to take large concepts, decompose into realizable deliverables and work with team members to distribute tasks and execute against the plan with minimal guidance
Ability to multitask and apply creative and critically thinking to deliver exceptional results
Good communication, able to convey both detailed explanations and high level status updates and know when each is appropriate
Good knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO26262) and Unified Diagnostic Services standards
Experience with IBM DOORS requirements management tool
Automotive AUTOSAR, CAN, Ethernet experiences are a plus
