System Engineer Job

In our Embedded Technologies department, we are focusing on client projects in the Automotive sector. The top-class services we provide consist mostly of software development and testing solutions for products such as Instrument Clusters and Head-up Displays, Control Units, Active and Passive Safety Systems (with a particular focus on Advanced Radar Systems) or even Low Level Drivers.

What you'll be doing

 

  • Develop system level requirements from the customer needs
  • Decompose system level requirements in sub-system level requirements ensuring bi-directional traceability
  • Develop system documentation including but not limited to system design and interface control documentation
  • Customer interfacing for technical aspects of a project
  • Work together with functional safety manager on safety related topics
  • Decompose the system requirements into components, interfaces, dynamic behaviors, and resource consumption targets
  • Develop UML and SysML diagrams
  • Work with software and hardware teams to ensure full coverage of all customer requirements

 

What you'll bring along

 

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience working on automotive electronic control units
  • Strong organizational skills able to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged throughout project life cycle
  • Software development experience and software development lifecycle know-how
  • Ability to take large concepts, decompose into realizable deliverables and work with team members to distribute tasks and execute against the plan with minimal guidance
  • Ability to multitask and apply creative and critically thinking to deliver exceptional results
  • Good communication, able to convey both detailed explanations and high level status updates and know when each is appropriate
  • Good knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO26262) and Unified Diagnostic Services standards
  • Experience with IBM DOORS requirements management tool
  • Automotive AUTOSAR, CAN, Ethernet experiences are a plus
