Senior Network Engineer Job

Who we are 

 

The IT Equipment Implementation project is an integral part of the Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) initiative aimed at enhancing the infrastructure for Johnson & Johnson sites. The project focuses on implementing changes and upgrades to IT equipment, routers, wireless controllers, and WLAN access points across various locations.
 

What you'll be doing

 

  • Conduct thorough assessments of current hardware environments across various client sites throughout the Europe region
  • Collaborate with local site owners to gather necessary information and configurations in alignment with the agreed scope of work
  • Develop comprehensive plans of approach in conjunction with the client's technical counterparts
  • Prepare technical change documents and runbooks, ensuring accuracy and clarity in deployment procedures
  • Create deployment activity plans outlining timelines, resources, and milestones
  • Stage hardware devices by configuring and labeling them appropriately in preparation for deployment
  • Execute planned hardware replacements during scheduled maintenance windows, either remotely or on-site, coordinating with field engineers as necessary
  • Demonstrate autonomy in work, taking initiative to problem-solve and adapt strategies as needed
  • Provide leadership and guidance to field engineers during physical installations, ensuring adherence to project objectives and timelines

 

What you'll bring along
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minumum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in LAN technologies, with a minimum certification of CCNA level in Cisco networking. CCNP certification is preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco campus switching and routing protocols
  • Expertise in Catalyst switching technologies, including configuration and troubleshooting
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex technical environments and develop strategic solutions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, capable of liaising effectively with both internal teams and external clients
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English
  • Willingness to travel to client sites within the Europe region as needed
