Take your test automation expertise to the next level because this project offers the chance to work with advanced testing frameworks, collaborate with top professionals, and drive quality across global operations. In this role, you will design and implement robust automated testing solutions for a leading automotive client, supporting the modernization of a strategic vehicle planning system. The project focuses on ensuring software reliability through automation of complex test scenarios across cloud-based, microservice-driven architectures, all in alignment with strict enterprise standards. Emphasis is placed on end-to-end validation, performance and integration testing, and continuous quality improvement to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions worldwide. 
 

What you'll be doing

 

  • Creating complex automated test scenarios, cases, and data
  • Deriving logical and detailed test cases from specifications and user stories
  • Executing tests manually and via automation (Selenium, REST-assured, Cucumber)
  • Managing defects and traceability in Jira/Xray
  • Documenting test results and supporting test report preparation
  • Contributing to the optimization of test design and automation coverage
  • Coordinating assigned test topics and ensuring quality results
  • Supporting Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
  • Support in the preparation of test reports and in monitoring
  • Managing test environments, data, and tools
  • Creating and maintaining Allure Reports for test visibility
  • Supporting incident management and helpdesk processes

 

What you'll bring along

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Informatics/ or similar field of study/or equivalent working experience is required
  • A min 3-5 years demonstrable experience in a Test Automation Engineer or Software Tester role
  • Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, testing methodologies, and QA best practices
  • Experience in test automation using Selenium WebDriver, REST-assured, and Java for UI and API testing
  • Experience with Cucumber and integration of automated E2E test scenarios
  • Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Jira Xray TestRail)
  • Experience in organizing and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Experience with continuous integration and automation pipelines like GitHub Actions/Workflows is a plus
  • Familiarity with reporting frameworks such as Allure Reports for test results visualization and analysis is nice to have
  • Relevant certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are a plus
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional and distributed teams
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a plus
  • Proficiency in English, German is nice to have
