Cybersecurity Infrastructure Monitoring Engineer

Who we are 

NTT DATA Romania is looking for passionate Engineers for designing and improving security solutions and to offer architecture consultancy within various projects and activities. 

You must have the drive to integrate high-quality software components, hardware components, security, database, systems, and business continuity planning that will run in a complex technical environment. The deliverables will be tailored based on customers and user needs, test cases and test processes have to be defined and implemented. You will be a member of the Cybersecurity Competence Center, where your skills and contributions to security systems delivery will be very visible. The team is international so you will use English both written and orally, German knowledge would be an advantage. 

What you'll be doing 

• Working with Linux, Grafana, Prometheus, Bash, and OpsGenie to support monitoring and operational activities
• Managing and supporting infrastructure across public and private cloud environments, including Azure and GCP
• Monitoring and maintaining systems including Linux OS, Machine Metrics, Elastic Stack, Keycloak, SOAR platforms, Ansible, Docker, ServiceNow, and other SIEM solutions
• Designing and developing systems and solutions aligned with information security technologies, processes, and organizational requirements
• Researching, planning, and designing robust security architectures for diverse IT infrastructures based on internationally recognized standards and security best practices
• Engineering innovative solutions that meet defined objectives, technical requirements, SLAs, and quality attributes
• Designing systems focused on operational efficiency, automation, ease of management, and optimized cost control
• Providing technical assistance and guidance to operational and engineering teams
• Collaborating closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to integrate security requirements into project delivery
• Contributing to security programs and initiatives supporting NTT DATA clients and internal business operations  

What you'll bring along 

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in related fields, preferably Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics areas, with an overall minimum of 2 years of relevant experience 
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role 
• Proven track record of building, securing, and automating enterprise-scale infrastructure and systems 
• In-depth knowledge of processes, research, and performance analysis capabilities 
• IAM knowledge is a big plus (Organizations, Realms, Roles, etc.). Any IAM tools would do, KeyCloak would be highly appreciated. 
• Docker containers (Kubernetes is a plus) 
• Linux (pro-efficient) 
• Elastic components are a plus: Filebeat, Logstash 
• Network & VPN, build and debugging 
• Experience with parsers it’s a plus 
• In-depth technical knowledge within information security areas is an advantage: SIEM tools and solutions, Incident Response tools and solutions, Vulnerability Management tools and procedures, SOAR
• and EDR solutions, Security Threat Intelligence services 
• CISSP, CEH, SANS, or similar certifications represent a big plus 
• Highly effective written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and experience dealing effectively with people having different background 
• Customer-oriented behavior 
• Fast learner - research capabilities for obtaining required information 
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English, German would be a plus
