Requirements Engineer (Digital Investments)

Who we are

 

Private Bank (PB), operating through two distinct business units of Private Bank Germany (PBG) and the International Private Bank (IPB), covers private, wealth and commercial clients across more than 60 countries. 

 

We are looking for Requirements Engineer in Digital Investments who is responsible for solution design as a whole in complex project environments (e.g., transformational programs).


 
What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Identifying the full range of business requirements and translating requirements into specific functional specifications for solution development and implementation
  • Analyzing business requirements and the associated impacts of the changes
  • Designing and assisting businesses in developing optimal target state business processes
  • Creating and executing against roadmaps that focus on solution development and implementation
  • Answering questions of methodological approach with varying levels of complexity
  • Aligning with other key stakeholder groups (such as Project Management & Software Engineering) to support the link between the business divisions and the solution providers for all aspects of identifying, implementing, and maintaining solutions
  • Working in a positive, collaborative team culture and co-own solutions with the Product Owner, backend engineers, and fellow analysts
  • Focusing on digital investment processes in online banking and help develop a customer-facing web application with high business relevance
  • Gathering and structuring business needs, clarify scope, and translate requirements into clear user stories for efficient delivery
  • Understanding APIs, backend–frontend communication, and service-to-service flows well enough to assess feasibility and propose practical approaches
  • Aligning business and tech stakeholders, support constructive discussions, and help the team move toward clear decisions
  • Keeping product documentation up to date and consider reusability, production stability, and target architecture when shaping solutions
  • Supporting development by clarifying questions, analyzing production issues, supporting UAT, and contributing to release readiness 

 

What We’re Looking For

 

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in computer science or similar
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in requirements engineering for large-scale IT solutions
  • You are analytical, structured, and able to turn complex topics into clear next steps
  • You communicate clearly with both business and technical stakeholders
  • You are technically curious and comfortable working with APIs, microservices, JavaScript applications, and cloud-based solutions
  • You work independently, take ownership, and stay calm during critical phases
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, agile delivery, digital front-end processes, or investment products is a plus
  • You have fluent English language skills, fluency in German is a plus
