SAP Basis Administrator

What you'll be doing

 

  • Serve as customer-facing SAP Basis contact, providing technical guidance, status updates and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Perform regular SAP system health checks and proactively identify performance, stability and capacity improvement opportunities
  • Administer and support SAP printing infrastructure, including printer configuration, troubleshooting, spool management and output device maintenance
  • Schedule, monitor and optimize SAP background jobs to ensure reliable business process execution
  • Implement and validate SAP Security Notes and support package updates in accordance with security and compliance requirements
  • Monitor SAP landscapes and manage incident, service request and problem tickets within agreed service levels
  • Troubleshoot complex SAP Basis issues across application, database
  • Access on OS level will not be granted
  • Analyze and implement recommendations from SAP
  • EarlyWatch Alert (EWA) reports to improve system performance, security, and availability
  • Investigate and resolve failed or canceled SAP updates, transports, and patch activities
  • Collaborate with functional, technical, and infrastructure teams to ensure stable and efficient SAP operations
  • Support SAP GUI installation, configuration and patch management
  • Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-base articles

    What you'll bring along
      
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar rol
  • Intermediate knowledge of SAP NetWeaver administration, system monitoring, performance analysis and troubleshooting
  • Experience with SAP transport management, client administration and background job scheduling
  • Proven experience applying SAP Security Notes and performing vulnerability remediation activities
  • Expertise in SAP system monitoring, alert handling and incident management processes
  • Experience analyzing SAP EarlyWatch Alert (EWA) reports and implementing recommendations.Knowledge of SAP printing and spool administration
  • Experience troubleshooting failed updatesFamiliarity with SAP Solution ManagerIntermediate understanding of SAP Hana databases
  • Experience SAP GUI lifecycle management and patch administration
  • Experience with SAP GUI troubleshooting for connectivity and login issues
  • Experience with XML file configuration and SAP Logon landscape administration
