What you'll be doing

• Setting up, configuring, and maintaining databases to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Performing performance tuning and optimization of database systems to meet application and business requirements.
• Ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with internal and external standards.
• Monitoring database health, performing regular backups, and implementing disaster recovery strategies.
• Collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to support application deployments and troubleshoot database-related issues.
• Writing and maintaining scripts for automation of routine database tasks.
• Managing user access, roles, and permissions in accordance with security policies.
• Documenting database configurations, procedures, and best practices.

What you'll bring along

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of the following databases: Oracle,  Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) for database provisioning (desirable).
• Knowing two or more DB’s is a plus
• Experience with high availability DB solutions is highly desirable
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance dashboards (desirable).
• Solid understanding of database architecture, indexing, query optimization, and backup/recovery strategies.
• Familiarity with security best practices for database environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database performance and connectivity issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• A proactive and detail-oriented mindset with a focus on reliability and efficiency.
• Certifications in database technologies (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, PostgreSQL) are a plus.
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
