QA Automation Lead

Who we are

 

We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to lead the implementation of the quality strategy across a complex programme. In this role, you will act as the technical quality reference for multiple delivery teams, ensuring that established standards, processes, metrics, and automation practices are consistently applied across all deliverables.

Working closely with the Project Manager, Product Owners, technical teams, and external partners, you will define the automation and continuous quality roadmap, strengthen quality governance, and drive the adoption of Shift-Left, Quality by Design, and continuous improvement practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

What you'll be doing

  • Implement and continuously improve the programme’s quality and testing strategy
  • Design and maintain the automation and continuous quality roadmap
  • Act as the QA technical reference across multiple teams and delivery streams
  • Oversee functional, API, end-to-end, and automated test coverage
  • Review and validate test plans, test cases, test results, and supporting evidence
  • Define quality KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and governance processes
  • Coordinate testing activities across internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders
  • Promote Shift-Left, Quality by Design, and risk-based testing practices
  • Identify quality risks, dependencies, and gaps, and define appropriate mitigation plans
  • Advise Product Owners, project stakeholders, and technical teams on quality-related decisions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across testing processes, tools, and ways of working
  • Ensure automation solutions are effectively integrated into CI/CD pipelines

What you'll bring along

  • More than seven years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering
  • Proven experience implementing testing and quality strategies across complex programmes
  • Strong knowledge of functional test automation, API testing, and end-to-end testing
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Playwright, Postman, GitLab, or similar technologies
  • Experience with test and delivery management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Xray
  • Strong understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments
  • Ability to define quality metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and governance models
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent problem-solving and executive and technical communication skills
  • English language proficiency at B2–C1 level
  • Experience with cloud architectures, microservices, or multinational programmes would be advantageous
  • ISTQB Advanced Test Manager certification or an equivalent qualification would be considered an advantage
