By joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.

What you'll be doing
- Oversee the daily operations of the IT service desk, ensuring timely and effective resolution of IT support requests.
- Lead, mentor, and manage service desk teams to maintain high performance and service quality.
- Track key performance metrics and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Manage escalations and collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex issues.
- Implement and optimize service desk processes in alignment with ITIL best practices.
- Act as the primary liaison between IT support teams, end users, and senior management.
What you'll bring along
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, business administration with a focus on IT, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in in IT support/service desk management.
- Ability to interpret and apply best practices, policies, and procedures effectively.
- ITIL Foundation Certification, with a goal of achieving the ITIL Practitioner Certification for Service Level Management.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English
