Who we are

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with in-depth knowledge of the commercial insurance business to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that our BI project aligns with strategic objectives and delivers value to stakeholders.The project scope is data warehousing of global commercial insurance data , powered by Microsoft Azure, specifically Synapse and PowerBI. This role requires a deep understanding of insurance products, regulatory environments, and industry best practices.


What you'll be doing

 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to commercial insurance
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories for the development team
  • Conduct thorough analysis of current processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals
  • Provide expertise and insights into commercial insurance products, underwriting, claims, and policy management
  • Work closely with data engineers, Power BI developers, and other technical teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements
  • Assist in the design and implementation of dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into commercial insurance operations
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate that solutions meet business needs and quality standards
  • Maintain and update documentation related to business analysis processes and project deliverables
     

What you'll bring along

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on commercial insurance
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products, processes, and regulatory requirements
  • Proven experience in translating business requirements into technical specifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex business needs
  • Familiarity with BI tools and data visualization concepts is a plus
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA is desirable
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Advanced degree or certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA)
  • German language, nice to have
