With the increasing demand for Microservices projects, we have created a reference architecture for our major clients, researched various frameworks, and identified the ones that are highly sought after by the large enterprises we collaborate with.

 

The API Factory engineering services span systems integration architecture, design, security, API delivery and platform tooling and support. The API Factory has fully embraced ways of working such as scaled agile, DevOps and CI/CD in a highly collaborative team. You will be part of an Engineering Squad responsible for developing API's and integration flows using Mule Anypoint Solutions.


What you'll be doing
    

•    Analysing and developing APIs and integration flows using Mule ESB Anypoint platform and Anypoint Studio
•    Experience in developing framework components within Mule ESB
•    API development using various programming languages and related tools and Mule frameworks
•    Code reviews, defect triage and fixing, unit testing, providing support for integration testing and non-functional testing
•    Mentor and coach junior engineers within the squad
•    Develop API in alignment with the banks standards and policies
•    Highlight where assets or capabilities could be created / adopted to help improve delivery velocity
•    Work with Technical Designers to help improve standards of delivery within the squads
•    Contribute to the squad sprint planning and provide feedback into retrospectives to ensure that the squad and function continuously improves
•    Develop and support the service catalogue approach to drive re-use and improve efficiency and effectiveness of delivery

 

What you'll bring along

 

•    At least 5 years of experience in a similar position working as an API Developer in agile delivery teams
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
•    Mule design and development experience and appropriate MuleSoft certifications
•    Deep knowledge of REST API's
•    Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns
•    Experience in API security standards and API authentication frameworks
•    Prior experience working as an API Developer 
•    Experience in designing and defining API specifications using RAML or Swagger
•    Knowledge of REST and SOAP web services, databases and JMS
•    Java or other object orientated development experience
•    Experience of working in an Agile environment, including Scrum and Kanban
•    Experience in development of back-end systems
•    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
•    Excellent English communication and teamwork abilities
•    Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
•    Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions
Nice to have:
•    Knowledge of SAFe Agile Software Engineering
•    AWS experience would be advantageous
