What you’ll be doing

 

  • Ensuring IT infrastructure and systems remain operational by proactively identifying, investigating, and resolving incidents and problems.
  • Managing incidents to resolution, ensuring zero missed SLAs and achieving client satisfaction by building and supporting technology solutions.
  • Investigating technical support issues, identifying root causes to prevent recurrence.
  • Handling incident, problem, event, and request management, including identifying issues, developing workaround plans, and implementing resolutions within SLAs.
  • Managing and optimizing storage and backup infrastructure operations, including monitoring, reporting, and implementing changes or service requests.
  • Documenting technical processes and providing on-call support.
  • Participating in and leading technical projects, including DR/BCP testing, change management, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Monitoring and reporting on server environments and SLAs, handling priority management, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Ensuring integration with other organizational teams and evolving service delivery methods and tools.
  • Utilizing automation tools for administration and monitoring of storage and backup systems.
  • Managing block and NAS storage and integrating systems with databases, networks, backups, and virtual environments.
  • Configuring, maintaining, and administering SAN/NAS-based storage environments.
  • Performing security hardening, patches, updates, and system performance troubleshooting.
  • Managing Brocade Fibre Channel Directors/Switches and handling access/user administration.
  • Overseeing daily backup activities, troubleshooting failures, and automating repetitive tasks.
  • Monitoring and optimizing I/O performance, making architecture recommendations, and creating technical documentation.
  • Implementing security policies, performing vulnerability assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Managing security tools, monitoring systems, and handling escalations.
  • Managing hybrid cloud environments (AWS/Azure), implementing cloud security measures, optimizing resources, and monitoring usage and costs.

 

What you’ll bring along

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level through experience and professional training
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Windows Server mid to big size infrastructure
  • Expertise in large-scale Storage Area Network (SAN) systems, including design, build, and operation (e.g., Dell/EMC, NetApp, HDS).
  • Hands-on experience with storage, backup, and recovery for databases such as Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle RAC, and MongoDB, as well as platforms like VMware and Terraform.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale storage, backup, and recovery across on-premises, co-location, and cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in operating and migrating SAN and Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of backup tools and administration (e.g., VEEAM, Veritas NetBackup, OKM, Commvault, Rubrik).
  • Expertise in fiber channel switches (Cisco/Brocade), NFS, block storage, VLAN configuration, and network switches.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server platforms, backup & storage technologies, and cyber resiliency principles.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and automation tools like Ansible, with scripting skills for configuration management.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies through self-study.
  • Strong communication skills, structured thinking, and process-oriented approach with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and thrive under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Service-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English
