Technical Senior Project Manager for Network Service Job

Who we are

Technical Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, execution, and monitoring of IT projects. This role involves ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with regulatory and performance standards. 
Five (5) to ten (10) years industry experience in networking environment and at least 3 years of Technical project Management experience responsible for gathering requirements, scoping a project and produce an executable plan for delivery utilizing Microsoft Project. Document deployment processes, support change requests and liaison with carriers and vendors for installations

 What you’ll be doing

• Assist in the development of project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
• Coordinate with project managers, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication
• Monitor project progress and update project documentation accordingly
• Identify and assess risks associated with IT projects
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize project impact
• Maintain a risk register and report on risk management activities
• Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
• Prepare and present project status reports, highlighting key achievements, issues, and risks
• Ensure that project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders
• Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that project deliverables meet the required standards
• Conduct regular project audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Technical / functional skills in the area of the respective project (To be discussed based on the project specific requirements)
• Engage with senior business and IT stakeholders to ensure project alignment with organizational goals
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input and feedback on project plans and progress
• Communicate project updates and changes to all relevant parties
• Takes "corresponding" role in Agile teams, depending on complexity and / or accountability of the role
• Identify opportunities for improving project management processes and practices
• Implement best practices and industry standards to enhance project delivery
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization

What you'll bring along

• Project Management Tools: Microsoft Project, JIRA
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred. 
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management or a related role, preferably within a regulatory or international organisation
• Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or other relevant certifications are highly desirable
• Expertise: Deep knowledge and understanding of project management principles and infrastructure and cloud technologies.
• Advanced networking technology skills along with a good understanding of cross platform technologies
• In Depth knowledge and experience of networking technologies with at least the following technologies Cisco, F5, Arista, Juniper, McAfee and Checkpoint
• Strong understanding of Ethernet, Spanning Tree, TCP/IP, Routing (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP)
• Strong understanding of ITIL, network security concepts and service management principals
• Communication: Ability to convey complex project information clearly and effectively
• Collaboration: Working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Adaptability: Adjusting to changes and new requirements in a dynamic environment
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English
