What you'll be doing

 

  • Ensuring IT infrastructure and systems remain operational by identifying, investigating, and resolving technical incidents
  • Acting as a backup to the UNIX Team Leader for complex incidents, requests, events, and problems
  • Leading operations engineers and managing service improvement initiatives
  • Administering Unix servers and third-party applications
  • Managing day-to-day infrastructure operations
  • Monitoring, testing, and reporting on infrastructure availability
  • Handling documentation and change management
  • Providing on-call support
  • Leading technical projects and mentoring team members
  • Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues
  • Driving service improvement initiatives and DR/BCP testing
  • Prioritizing, escalating, and coordinating activities within the organization
  • Optimizing service delivery processes and tools

 

What you'll bring along  

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field would be nice to have
  • Minimum 5-10 years of Unix/Linux infrastructure experience
  • Strong system administration knowledge (e.g., LVM, process management, resource handling)
  • Automation skills (e.g., Python, Ansible, Bash, Perl)
  • Proficiency in protocols like HTTP, DNS, NTP, SMTP and the network OSI model
  • Experience with tools like GIT/GitLab, Jenkins, RedHat Satellite, Kickstart
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools like Nagios/Icinga2
  • Expertise in cluster-based setups and VMware
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., CFEngine, Ansible)
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently
  • Strong communication skills, process-oriented mindset, and attention to detail
  • Proven leadership skills and service-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate in a dynamic, multicultural environment
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English
