Embedded Linux Software Developer - FPGA Imaging Pipeline

In our Embedded Technologies department, we are focusing on client projects in the Automotive sector. The top-class services we provide consist mostly of software development and testing solutions for products such as Instrument Clusters and Head-up Displays, Control Units, Active and Passive Safety Systems (with a particular focus on Advanced Radar Systems) or even Low Level Drivers.

What you'll be doing

 

  • You will be responsible for developing Embedded Linux software components for controlling the FPGA-based imaging pipeline using C and C++

  • You implement unit and module tests to improve camera quality 

  • You will maintain and further develop existing test software used for FPGA verification 

  • Creating documentation for the developed software components is also part of your role

  • As a member of the R&D Camera team, you will collaborate closely with colleagues from the software, hardware, testing, and image science departments

 

 

What you'll bring along

 

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field

  • You have solid professional experience in software development on (Embedded) Linux systems (x86 or ARM) using C/C++

  • You bring experience in debugging embedded Linux systems and their interfaces (e.g., Ethernet, PCIe)

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python

  • You have strong analytical skills and a structured approach to solving problems

  • Experience in the broadcast or media industry and/or real-time image processing

  • You are characterized by creativity and enthusiasm in tackling your tasks

  • You are a strong team player with the ability to work in interdisciplinary environments

  • Excellent English skills complete your profile

  • German speaking is a plus
