Who we are

The role is within a project for the one of the Germany’s largest insurance companies.

As the scope and frequency of requirements in the area of Windows server administration for our output applications have increased significantly in recent years, the project activities consist in optimisation and automation of processes in Windows server administration.

The applications developed through the project, as well as the various subsystems and their interfaces, are highly critical for the customer. Therefore, very high diligence is required in handling these topics to achieve excellent quality results.

What you'll be doing

Incident processing (analysis and resolution of acute system disruptions)
Analysis and actions for alerts from system monitoring
SysHUB upgrade to latest version
DocBridge upgrade to latest version
Inspire upgrade to latest version (multiple upgrades required)
Migration from Windows Server 2016 to Windows Server 2022
Restructuring of network zones / firewall configuration for applications
Implementation of new security requirements for applications (in close cooperation with vendors) and infrastructure
Support for applying security patches
Optimisation / extension of system monitoring
Partial automation of work steps (e.g., during server replacement or installations)Partial automation of technical tests
Support for regulatory requirements
Restructuring of permissions

What you'll bring along

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of Experience in Windows server administration
Experience in security (networks / firewalls / patch management), Database knowledge (Microsoft SQL Server) and with output management software (DOPiX / Inspire / sysHUB / DocBridge Suite / TextLab) represents a plus
Experience in the insurance industry is nice to have
Strong communication skills and solution-oriented working style
Good command of spoken and written English is necessary (German is a plus)
