By joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.

What you'll be doing
- Planning, implementation, and management of capacity and lifecycle processes for datacenter and cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and alignment with strategic goals.
- Developing and maintaining capacity plans, reporting resource utilization, optimizing infrastructure allocation, and forecasting future demands with stakeholders.
- Managing the full lifecycle of infrastructure, from acquisition to decommissioning, ensuring timely updates and replacements, and coordinating asset management processes.
- Implementing monitoring solutions, analyzing performance data to optimize infrastructure, and ensuring availability targets are consistently met.
- Conducting risk assessments, implementing mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and organizational policies.
- Coordinating with IT teams, business units, and external partners to optimize capacity and lifecycle management while keeping stakeholders informed.
- Keeping up with the latest technologies and trends, enhancing capacity and lifecycle management processes, and driving continuous improvements.
What You'll Bring Along
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in capacity and lifecycle management, with a proven track record in large-scale datacenter and cloud environments.
- Deep understanding of datacenter and cloud infrastructure, including networking, storage, and virtualization.
- Expertise in capacity planning, forecasting, and resource optimization techniques.
- Proven experience managing IT infrastructure lifecycles, asset tracking, and vendor coordination.
- Strong proficiency in monitoring tools and performance optimization strategies.
- Excellent risk management and mitigation skills related to infrastructure capacity and lifecycle.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to integrate emerging technologies into process improvement.
- ITIL, PMP, or certifications in specific technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English while knowledge of other EU languages is considered an asset.
