Data Engineer with German

Who we are

 

We are seeking a talented Developer with experience in data management to join our team, focusing on building and optimizing data pipelines, as well as creating insightful dashboards and reports. This role is crucial in supporting our clients' data needs through collaboration and innovative use of open-source tools.

 

What you'll be doing

 

  • Collaborate with HelloDATA's open source data management toolset to enhance data handling and integration
  • Develop and optimize data pipelines, including interfaces, automation, and data extraction/transformation processes
  • Create dashboards and reports using SQL, working closely with customers to meet their specific requirements

 

What You'll Bring Along

 

  • University degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant technologies and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Airflow, Superset)
  • Experience in data warehousing and cloud development (Azure, AWS, or GCP) Good German and English skills Smart, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies and approaches
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Familiarity with BigQuery for large-scale data querying and analytics
  • Knowledge of Airflow or similar orchestration tools for workflow management
  • Experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code and cloud resource management
  • Prior data engineering experience, including ETL processes and pipeline optimization
