By joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.

What you'll be doing
- Ensuring the Asset Database and/or Configuration Management System data.
- Managing security and access levels for the Asset Database and Configuration Management System.
- Executing corrective actions identified in process and database audits.
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Overseeing the effective and efficient operation of Service Asset and Configuration Management processes.
- Empowering Service Asset and Configuration Management staff in their roles.
- Maximizing the alignment of people, process, and technology to enhance service delivery.
- Implementing and managing Service Management and Configuration Management policies and standards.
- Ensuring compliance with Service Asset and Configuration Management Plans, Policies, and Processes.
- Managing the evaluation and selection of proprietary Asset and Configuration Management tools.
- Establishing and maintaining interfaces with key IT functions such as Change, Problem, and Release Management.
- Conducting periodic audits and reviews of the SACM process, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Producing impact analysis reports and Service Asset/Configuration status updates.
- Coordinating and providing training on SACM processes and tools.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement in tools, staff development, training, procedures, and documentation.
What you'll bring along
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT Service Asset and Configuration Management or a similar role.
- ITIL Foundation Certificate (Intermediate Certificate in Release Control and Validation preferred).
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and IT service management processes.
- Ability to interpret and apply SACM Process Policies and Procedures.
- Good influencing and negotiating skills to engage stakeholders and ensure process adherence.
- Expertise in asset database management and configuration tracking methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for process optimization.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English proficiency (any other European language would be a plus).
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English (any other European language would be a plus).
