Purchasing Consultant with German

As a Central Purchasing Specialist, you will be responsible to administer and take responsibility for activities throughout the central purchasing service offering to support the NTT DATA organization the best possible way.

 

What you'll be doing

 

  • Creation and maintenance of master data, especially material master, and service master data as well as supplier master data
  • Creation of requisitions, generation of purchase orders (PO) and further processing of POs (approve, finalize, release, reject, submit, cancel) for the purchase of specific shoring services 
  • Drive end-to-end process improvement, find opportunities to lead standardization, and consistency for process optimization

 

What you'll bring along

 

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the area of Purchasing
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, or comparable academic studies / completed commercial vocational training; Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, or comparable academic studies would be preferable 
  • Business English and German fluency are essential – both written and verbal communication skills
  • Detailed understanding of Purchasing processes and experience in operational processing of procurement-related operations (e.g., sourcing, MDM, etc.)
  • Good skills and experience in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook/SAP (MM) are desirable 
  • Ideally knowledge of the special requirements of the IT consulting industry
